Best Bang for the Buck: "Fun in Kailua-Kona Town" (Big Island) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
About Royal Kona Resort:
The rooms at Royal Kona Resort aren't luxurious, but clean, spacious, and comfortable. They are decorated with tropical 80s-style furniture. The best thing about this hotel is its location: Royal Kona borders the ocean on one side, and Alii Drive with many shops and restaurants on the other side. The pool and open-air restaurant have fantastic views of the ocean. In the morning, you can have a buffet breakfast at the open-air restaurant downstairs while watching the dolphins play in the bay. The coastline is pretty rocky (because of the island's volcanic past), that's why the hotel built a manmade sandy beach and private lagoon where you can often swim next to green sea turtles and even manta rays.
Package includes:
Price for 2: The package is for 5 nights but it can be easily extended. You can add more nights at the same hotel, or add a trip to another island (includes inter-island air, hotel and car).
