1. Location

   Royal Kona Resort occupies a beautiful spot on the shores of Kailua Bay, surrounded by tropical trees. It is in the heart of Kailua town, so you can walk to many popular spots, like Hard Rock Cafe and many other shops and restaurants.

   Ideal location, beautiful views, reasonable rates, friendly staff and recent renovations make the Royal Kona Resort a great hotel value on the Big Island.


2. Rooms

   Hawaiian-style decorations make the interiors feel light and airy. Most rooms at Royal Kona Hotel boast beautiful views of the Kailua Bay. Your private lanai will be a great place to unwind in tropical seclusion!

   Royal Kona Resort has 5 restaurants and lounges, including:

   1) Tropica Cafe

   This restaurant is set along the water's edge, so you can enjoy gorgeous view of the Pacific. Menu features American and Hawaiian Regional cuisine prepared from fresh local ingredients. Tropics Cafe is known for is great breakfast buffets. This place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are traveling with children, keep in mind that children 12 years and younger eat free with a paying adult.

   2) Windjammer Lounge

   This open-air lounge compes alive each evening with live music and dancing. It overlooks Kailua Bay's splashing surf and is a great place to watch Big Island's colorful sunset. When you get tired of watching the sky, you can turn to Windjammer's big-screen TVs. The bar offers many delicious tropical drinks to choose from.

   3) Royal Kona Luau

   As waves lap up against the lava rocks, the Kona sky turns orange and native drums pound, the Royal Kona Luau begins. It is the only oceanfront luau on the Kona Coast.

   This colorful feast includes a traditional lei greeting, Imu Ceremony, along with Kailua-Kona's premier all-you-can-eat Polynesian buffet, and an open bar through the evening.

   The spectacular, fast-paced show features many Polynesian songs and dances. culminating with a spellbinding Samoan "fire knife" dance.
