1. Location The condos at Kanaloa at Kona are actually located further south of Kona. Low-rise buildings sprawl across 16 acres of land on Keauhou Bay. These luxury condos border a golf course, Keauhou-Kona Country Club, on one side, a secluded bay for snorkeling on another, and the blue waters of the Pacific on the third side. The condo is oceanfront, but the shoreline does not have a beach, only rocks (this is typical for the Big Island). Several good swimming beaches are within a few minutes drive, such as Kahaluu Beach Park Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona allows you to stay away from downtown crowds, but still be very close to Kona and many restaurants. Kona town is only 7 miles (10-min drive) away. Many of Hawaii's historical attractions are also closeby, including Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historic Park and Kealakekua Bay where Captain Cook met his end.
2. Rooms Your condo will be clean, bright and well equipped. It will have open-beamed ceiling and spacious covered lanai, where you'll spend much of your time enjoying the views. The kitchen is so well designed, it actually makes cooking a pleasure. You will also find some grills outside, perfect for grilling that fresh fish. We highly recommend booking an ocean view condo. First of all, all of those units have Jacuzzi bathtubs. Your condo will face the black rocky beach and incredible blazing orange sunsets. In the morning, you can sit on the balcony with a cup of coffee and watch the boats come out of the bay, and dolphins and whales frolick in the waters below. Another plus of the ocean view condo is that you will hear only one sound during your stay - the sound of waves crashing in the lava rocks. 2-Bdr/2-Bath Ocean View with Loft condos are even more special - those are located on the top floor and have beautiful cathedral ceilings
3. Restaurants Edward's at Kanaloa is the condo's on-site restaurant. This place has an amazing ambience. Edward's at Kanaloa sits right on the water, and the views are very romantic. In the winter, you may even see some humpback whales playing just off the shore. Whether you come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can expect creative Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine with a Pacific Rim touch. Menu includes such delicacies as Aegean Salmon and Shrimp with Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Peppered Ahi and Flourless Chocolate Cake.
