1. Location    ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas (former Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas) is set on 11 acres of exotic tropical gardens and palm trees. It sits on the north end of beautiful white sand Kaanapali Beach that was named "America's Best Beach 2003" by Dr Beach.    Lahaina town is about 10 minutes away. Maui's main airport, Kahului (OGG), is 23 miles away. 2. Rooms    ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas consists of seven 2-story and one 6-story buildings, with a total of 253 condos. All condos are spacious and splendidly furnished, everything is clean and well kept. Each unit features: Air-conditioning Private lanai in 1- and 2-bedrooms Color cable TV Hotel rooms have refrigerator, studios and 1- and 2-bedrooms have full kitchen with microwave Coffee maker Hair dryer Iron and board In-room safe Daily maid service         3. Restaurants    ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas has one on-site restaurant, Castaway Cafe. This restaurant/bar is located right on the beach. You can enjoy delicious and reasonably priced breakfast. They also have good tropical drinks, appetizers, dinner (entrees are $20-$25 each), and dessert. Wine list is quite spectacular!    There are quite a few restaurants and cafes located within 1-2 miles from the Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas. Here are our 4 favorite places:    2) Keka'a Terrace – located 0.7 miles away, at Sheraton Maui    Stroll across a wooden bridge and over a fresh water Koi pond to discover the casual comfort of Keka’a Terrace. Gentle trades whisper through the open-air dining room all day long where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner daily.    Want to try something special? How about Chef’s Catch of the Day prepared Ala Oscar: Sautéed and topped with Alakan King Crab legs, fresh Ma’alaea Asparagus and finished with a Bearnaise Sauce? They also offer regular themed dinnger buffets.    You can sit indoors or outside, and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Black Rock in the distance.    3) Lagoon Bar and Lounge – located 0.7 miles away, at Sheraton Maui    Wander through the gardens and cross a wooden bridge to find the Lagoon Bar nestled on a cozy island amidst a lava-rock lagoon. Enjoy a refreshing tropical treat or hot barbecule lunch as you bask in the Hawaiian sun. In the evening, they have live Hawaiian and contemporary music. This is also a great place to watch the traditional cliff diving and torch lighting ceremony at sunset.    4) tropica – located 1.1 miles away, at Westin Maui    tropica (yes, it starts with a lower-case "t") is the first themed restaurant in Ka'anapali. The "fire and ice" theme is carried through the incredible decor, featuring plunging waterfalls and flickering tiki torches, open to dazzling sunsets and fresh ocean breezes.    The innovative dinner menu is a flavorful fusion of fire-inspired cuisine prepared on wood ovens and grills, perfectly complemented by a chilling selection of fresh seafood.    Both indoor and outdoor dining are available; you will enjoy a wonderful meal and live music with a romantic view of the tropical palms as they sway in the breeze and the Pacific Ocean beyond.    Sunday Brunch at tropica is also quite extraordinary. Beautifully presented food and the views of the blue Pacific on a sun-filled morning will make it one to remember.    5) Ono Surf Bar & Grill – located 1.1 miles away, at Westin Maui    Enjoy casual poolside dining set against the backdrop of intricate streams and footbridges. All-day dining menu features island specialties, family favorites and health-conscious selections. Try the Vegetable Flat Bread (grilled portabella mushroom, roasted peppers, squash, arugula and jack cheese), or Penne Pasta with Grilled Upcountry Vegetables (spicy chipotle peppers, roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts).    'OnO Surf Bar is also a great place for pupus (appetizers) accompanied by cool tropical drinks, cocktails, beer and wine. There's live entertainment every night. 4. Things to do Pool complex    In the middle of the property is a very large, well maintained pool area with 3 free-forms pools and shuffleboard courts. It is surrounded by wide lawns dotted with coconut palms and shrubs. You can rent a chaise lounge from the activity hut and spend a day just lounging around and watching the waves. Every night, ResortQuest Maui Kaanapali Villas has a torch-lighting ceremony around the pool and beach. Beach activities    Just 100 yards away is the beach, with clear and coral-free water that's safe even for children. You will find two great snorkeling and scuba diving spots about 1/4 mile either way from the hotel. One of them is famous Black Rock, known for tons of fish, turtles and corals. There is a paved path that runs along the entire Kaanapali Beach, so you can take long walks at sunset. Golf and tennis    Royal Kaanapali Golf Course and Tennis Ranch (11 courts) are right next door. Free shuttle    If you want to explore the area, you can catch free, open-air colorful trolley that runs between all hotels in Kaanapali and Whalers Village, which has over 60 shops, restaurants, and a Whaling Museum.
