1. Location

   Convenient location is what makes Castle Island Colony a favorite of many guests who come back year after year. This condo is just 3 blocks from the beach. The bus stop is nearby, and International Marketplace is just 1 block away. More shops, restaurants and nightclubs are within walking distance.

   You can take long relaxing walks along Ala Wai Canal right next to the hotel. Take a rest on one of the park benches and watch the canoe paddlers. The sunsets are incredible!

2. Rooms

   The rooms are clean, cheery and comfortable. Each has a large lanai (which is more like another room!) with postcard-like views of Waikiki, the jagged mountains and lush valleys, Diamond Head, or the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Windows are quite large, so you can enjoy the gentle Hawaiian breezes. Bathrooms are very small and offer tub/shower combination.

    Each room has:
  • Air-conditioning
  • Large private lanai
  • Refrigerators and coffee maker in hotel rooms;
    Kitchenette with microwave in studios;
    Full kitchen with microwave in 1-bedrooms
  • Color cable TV
  • Original Hawaiian artwork
  • Iron and board
  • Hair dryer
  • Daily maid service
  • Non-smoking rooms available

3. Restaurants

   There is a Chinese restaurant on site, and many different cafes, restaurants and fast food places within walking distance.

4. Things to do

   Castle Island Colony combines the spaciousness of a condominium with the amenities of a hotel. The open-air recreation deck on the 6th floor offers a large swimming pool, a hot tub. It has plenty of space to soak up the Hawaiian sunshine, and later, enjoy terrific sunset views.

    Other facilities are:
  • Sauna
  • Sundry store
  • Activities desk
  • Laundromat (fee)
  • Parking ($10/day in 2005)
