Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort - detailed hotel review and pictures |

1. Location Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort's almost-twin towers (one 24 stories tall, the other 33) can be seen from nearly anywhere in Waikiki. The hotel has become one of the landmarks you use to figure how far you've meandered down the beach. It is on the eastern side of Waikiki, which means that you will be away from the crowds, noise and congestion of central Waikiki, yet very close to Kapiolani Park, Zoo, Aquarium, shops and restaurants. Two great beaches are right across the street: Kuhio and Queens Beach, which are both more mellow than Waikiki Beach, and have a distinct local feel. They are very clean and have wave breakers, so you can swim without getting washed around, and even small children will be safe in the water.
2. Rooms There are 1,310 rooms in 2 towers - Ali'iolani Tower, which has some of the largest guest rooms among Waikiki hotels, and the Paokalani Tower, known for breathtaking views of Diamond Head Crater and Kapi'olani Park (deluxe ocean view room costs more, but it's so worth it!). All rooms are decorated in a tasteful island style. When you stand on your lanai high above Waikiki, the soft noise of the bustling tourist mecca below reminds you that you're definitely not on a deserted island. Watching the surfers and the eclectic mix of beach-goers never gets boring!
3. Restaurants You can choose from 7 on-site restaurants and lounges: 1) Arancino di Mare - Marriott Waikiki's newest restaurant specializes in homemade Italian pasta and pizza dishes. Come down for a nice lunch or intimate dinner with a view of the sunset over Waikiki Beach. 2) Moana Terrace - Enjoy breathtaking views of Waikiki, spectacular sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and authentic Hawaiian entertainment. This restaurant serves American food for lunch and dinner, including delicious sandwiches, cold drinks and the best hamburgers in Waikiki. Full bar is open until 11:00p.m. 3) Kuhio Beach Grill - Open for breakfast and dinner, this restaurant offers great Continental cuisine infused with flavors of Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. Enjoy the prime rib & crab legs buffet on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 4) Restaurant Run - This sushi bar presents food in a unique way - the chef puts items on a conveyor belt, and you simply take whatever looks good to you. 5) Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar - If you are looking for a fresh and tasty seafood dinner, this is the place. 6) Sansei Steakhouse - Serves classic steaks for dinner. 7) Seattle's Best Coffee - Popular coffee house, open all day long.
