1. Location Aloha Beach Resort Kauai is centrally located on the East Coast, on the shores of Wailua Bay. It is an area of great historical and cultural significance, where ancient Hawaiian royalty chose to live, worship, and give birth to generations of Hawaiian leaders. The hotel is set right on the Wailua River, so you get gorgeous views of the ocean, and easy access to the beach and the river itself. It is Hawaii's only navigable river. You can book a boat tour that takes you into Fern Grotto - beautiful cave full of lush ferns growing in every direction. When you first arrive to Aloha Beach Resort Kauai, large open-air reception area feels very welcoming. It has curved high ceiling, lava-rock columns, large Art-Deco-style chandeliers, and comfortable sofas where you can sit down and relax. The lobby and 10-acre grounds exude a true tropical paradise, complete with waterfall and flowers. Aloha Beach Resort Kauai just completed a 4-million-dollar renovation, and the lush Japanese-style gardens and ponds reflect that large part of it was spent on landscaping. You will find it easy to get to any sights on the North or South Shore. Across the street are Smith's Tropical Paradise, featuring botanical gardens and an evening luau; and the Wailea Marina, a starting point for riverboat tours to Fern Grotto. Lihue Airport (LIH) is 6 miles (15 minutes) away.
2. Rooms Accommodations at Aloha Beach Resort Kauai range from spacious guest rooms to 1-bedroom private cottages. Ocean view rooms have really beautiful views - they overlook a large beach park (Lydgate Park) and the mouth of the famed Wailua River.
Cottages The 26 fully-renovated Hawaiian beach cottages offer more luxury and privacy than guest rooms. Each cottage is basically a duplex-style 1-bedroom condo, with 2 rooms - bedroom and living/dining room. A private driveway takes you right to the front door.
