Welcome to Lanai, Hawaii's most secluded island.
Lanai's tropical paradise offers a versatile recreational lifestyle - from relaxing in the warm sun to 4-wheel driving, or from sight-seeing landmarks to participating in a favorite water or land sport. From Lana'ihale, the misty summit of an ancient volcano where wild spotted deer run free, to Hulopo'e Bay, a marine sanctuary for spinner dolphins, humpback whales and rare sea turtles, Lana'i offers a stunning range of adventure and natural beauty.
Each of the activities can be booked as part of hotel package offered by the Hawaii Travel Bureau. 4x4 Adventure Package at either Manele Bay Hotel or Lodge at Koele offers you a choice of one of the following activities per day. A perfect way to plan your vacation !

Golfing
Lana'i offers the most exciting golf in Hawaii. There are two spectacular world-class courses, each with its own distinctive character.
Experience at Koele
The Experience at Koele is a spectacular link-style 18-hole championship course designed by Greg Norman and Ted Robinson. Set in the central highlands of Lanai, it is surrounded by lush vegetation, with pine tree lined fairways and bent grass greens. The first 7 holes sit atop a forested plateau 2,000 feet above sea level, where morning mists rise to provide panoramic views of the islands of Maui and Moloka'i across the deep blue channel. The most famous hole, the 8th, is the most spectacular in all of Hawaii, with a 250 foot elevation drop through ravines wooded with pine, koa and eucalyptus. The course also features 7 lakes, flowing streams, cascading waterfalls and an island green surrounded by a lake. First-class design, views and landscaping add to a remarkable golfing experience at the Experience at Koele.

The Challenge at Manele, a classic Jack Nicklaus design, is a target-style championship course set along the cliffs of the Pacific, with virtually every hole providing a dramatic ocean view. There are five sets of tees, challenging even the best golfers with precise tee shots over natural lava gorges, while the average golfer will enjoy the breathtaking vistas without suffering limitations on distance or accuracy. Carved from lava cliffs 150 feet above the crashing surf, the Challenge at Manele is a true masterpiece.

You will find several old Hawaiian heiau (temples) and village ruins scattered along Lanai's coastal areas, as well as petroglyphs sites and King Kamehameha's summer fishing village. Munro Trail, an 8-mile 4-wheel drive and hiking trail, goes through impressive rainforests and deep canyons, and finally brings you to the 3,370-ft Lana'ihale, the highest point on the island. On a clear day you can see 6 Hawaiian islands from this perch. Lanai has over 400 miles of trails and unpaved roads that lead to places of wild beauty.
