   Our customers say:

"Just wanted you to know that we had a wonderful time in Kauai. The weather was nearly as perfect as all of your arrangements -- air travel, car, accomodations all worked out beautifully.

The Kaha Lani, which you suggested, was just wonderful, with both the master bedroom and the living area facing the ocean.

And I now have three children and one nephew who are avid surfers (though I just couldn't get Mom to try it). Your help was greatly appreciated. And you certainly lived up to your slogan -- "We'll make your Hawaiian paradise dreams come true!""

Here are the most popular questions about Kauai weather:

"What temperature should I expect?"

Kauai's weather is mild and pleasant throughout the year, with barely any temperature difference between night and day, or the hottest and coldest months.

  • Winter - typical daytime temperatures 76 to 80 F (24-26 C), nighttime 60 to 64 F (15-18 C).
  • Summer - typical daytime temperatures 84 to 87 F (29-31 C), nighttime 70 to 72 F (21-22 C).

"What about the water?"

   Water temperature in the near-shore waters varies between 80 F (27 C) during summer months and 73 F (23 C) during winter.

"How cool does it get in the mountains?"

The weather in the mountains can be very different from coastal areas. There is a 3.5 degree drop in temperature for every 1,000 foot rise above sea level. So, if you are planning a hike, especially during winter months, be prepared !

"When is the rain season?"

There is no rain season in Hawaii. Summer is mostly sunny to partly cloudy both on the South and North Shores. During winter months, rainfall is somewhat higher, especially on the North Shore, but there are very, very few periods of prolonged rain. Generally, you can drive 10 minutes away and the weather will change. If you want to be absolutely safe, just stay on the South Shore.

"What area of the island has the best weather?"

Poipu (South Shore) is the sunniest part of Kauai. Because of the trade winds, it tends to receive much less rain than any other area of the island.

"Anything else?"

The nice thing about Kauai is that the weather is very localized. You may see rain and thunderstorm and bright sun all in one day as you move around the island. This kind of mixture allows you to fully enjoy sun-drenched beaches, lush tropical valleys, sparkling waterfalls, cool highlands and frequent rainbows that Kauai is famous for.
