Through Bose headsets, you can listen to your pilot's narration while soft flowing music plays in the background (you won't hear any engine noise). Will Squyres, the owner of the helicopter company, knows some magnificent views - after all, he has scouted site locations for movies such as Universal Pictures' Jurassic Park, and Castle Rock Pictures' Outbreak and North, and you will probably get to see these and other familiar movie backdrops on your tour. Flying into Waialeale Crater, full of waterfalls and not a tourist in sight, is one of the most unspoiled encounters with nature you'll ever have. Waialeale is the wettest place on earth, averaging 40 feet of rain a year. This makes it impossibly lush and speckled with silvery strips of waterfalls everywhere you look. Equally stunning is the flight over the Na Pali Coast - the quintessential tropical paradise coastline where cliffs tower 4,000 feet high, rivers run down to the ocean, hiking trails hug the mountain side, and rainbows spring up in diffferent spots (you may even get to fly through one!).
